Complete and sign the Referee Dismissal Form at the ground:
• This sheet is available from the ground manager and is completed and signed in triplicate;
• Referee is to retain the appropriate copy;
• The sheet should include the exact charge which is taken from Section 15 (1) of the NRL Laws of the Game and the severity of the Grading (i.e Low, Medium, High or Serious).
In the event of sending a player off, notify the Secretary ASAP preferably by email at info@southsreferees.com.au or a phone call (a text is acceptable) on the first availabile opportunity after your last game.
Complete the Referee/Touch Judge Report, relevant to the grade of the player.
• If you have never completed one before, click on Rafftery’s Rules for tips on how to write your statement. Properly completed statements improve the chances of conviction.
• If the dismissal resulted from a touch judges report, they too should fill out one of these reports.
• If you are refereeing an U13’s-U18s match, you must fill out an online form. The link is below.
• If you are refereeing A Grade or A Reserve, you must fill out the SSJ Incident Report Word Document which can be found below.
Complete the online form.
For South Sydney games, save the SSJ Incident Report form in your documents and then email it to the Secretary at info@southsreferees.com.au by 9am on the Monday. For SCC games, email the Secretary notifying that the online form has been submitted. The Secretary will notify you if you are required to attend Judiciary.
For any Referee in any age group who experiences any type of abuse/harassment from coaches, trainers, crowd members etc, or is involved in any incident during a game not relating to in game issues such as a Send Off, please notify the Secretary by email at info@southsreferees.com.au ASAP. We will then pass it onto the Junior League who will investigate further.
Remember that the Ground Staff are on your side and are there to help. If you ever feel uncomfortable, it is within your right to stop the game, go over to the Ground Manager at the scoring table and let them know you have an issue.
